Using current video conferencing technology to communicate with others can be quite a impersonal experience, and when a number of users are all in the same conference it can be difficult for member of the meeting to communicate with individuals and create eye contact.
A new video conferencing system called MM-Space is currently being development by NTT which is hoping to change this, and bring a little more interaction to video conferencing technology.
The MM-Space concept uses transparent screens onto which a users shoulders and head are projected. As the users moves their head the screen then adjusts to point in the same direction providing a sense of interaction. Enabling easier communication with a number of participants.
