Have you ever wondered what happens when you mix liquid nitrogen, and 1500 ping pong balls together with a plastic dustbin?
If the answer has been always on your mind, you will be pleased to know that Professor Roy Lowry of Plymouth University has now carried out the experiment and recorded a video for all to see. Check out the results after the jump, but stand well back.
Liquid nitrogen is also used to super cool computer processors for overclocking records as well and many other cooling situations that require supper quick and super low temperatures.
The video below shows what happens when the liquid nitrogen returns to its gaseous state, which release a tremendous amount of energy. Enjoy!
