Android users that find using a QWERTY virtual keyboard a little painful might be interested in a new keyboard which has been created for Android devices called the Minuum Keyboard.
The Minuum Keyboard has been designed to offer users a quicker and more intuitive way to type from their Android devices and is now available in its beta development stage release from the Android Google Play Store.
The Minuum Keyboard markets itself as the “little keyboard for big fingers” and promises to offer “simplified touchscreen typing.” The Minuum Keyboard has been designed as a tiny, one-dimensional keyboard that frees up screen space while allowing you to type faster and more accurately.
Currently the Minuum Keyboard is only available in English as the present time but more languages will be added to its library soon, say its developers.
“Most existing keyboards take an approach similar to cramming a full typewriter into a touchscreen device. This gives us keyboards that cover up half the usable touchscreen space (or more), obstructing your content. Minuum gives you back your screen space by reducing the standard keyboard to a single dimension.”-“Minuum re-imagines the keyboard by compressing a standard layout into a single line, letting you type quickly and accurately without needing large keys. What enables this minimalism is a specialized auto-correction algorithm that allows highly imprecise typing.”
Download the Minuum Keyboard beta app from the Google Play Store now for free to give it a try and please let us know what you think of it.
