Minecraft fans looking for a little extra immersion in their game might be interested in the is new video which shows Minecraft being played using a Oculus Rift virtual reality Headset and Omni Treadmill.
The Omni Move treadmill is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website raising funds to make the jump from concept in to production.
The Omni lets you take your interactive gaming to the next level and allows you to walk, run, jump, crouch and has already raised nearly $1 million in pledges.
“The Omni takes virtual reality to the next level— allowing anyone to stand up and traverse virtual worlds with the natural use of their own feet. The Omni is the first virtual reality interface for moving freely and naturally in your favorite game. Moving naturally in virtual reality creates an unprecedented sense of immersion that cannot be experienced sitting down. That’s why we developed the Omni.
The Omni will free gamers from passive, seated gameplay, unleashing the full potential of virtual reality gaming with the Oculus Rift and future head mounted displays. Gaming on a keyboard, mouse or gamepad while seated pales in comparison to the intense experience and fun that comes from actually running and jumping in games. “
The Omni project is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think Omni is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help Omni become a reality.
