+Mfg has this week unveiled a new 3D printer they have created that is capable of printing with multiple metals in a single run.
There are a number of metal 3D printers capable of producing 3D objects from extruded metal but unfortunately the price of entry for small to mid sized business is currently holding the metal 3D printing technology back.
Metal 3D printing machines can cost around $1 million and at the current time size is also a limiting factor as they are still extremely large and roughly the same size as a refrigerator.
However +Mfg has been developing a new system that they say is revolutionary in the form of the +1000k metal 3D printer. Tom Fruer, Co-founder +Mfg explains a little more :
“This is my latest venture which is responsibly changing the world,”-“Our team of professionals is introducing a large format metal additive manufacturing machine that is safer, cleaner, faster, and less expensive than conventional and competitive offerings.”
The +1000k metal 3D printer is capable of printing at 2kgs an hour and has a build envelope of 600mm x 900mm x 1200mm providing companies with fairly large writing footprint to utilise. For more information on the new +1000k 3D printer jump over to the official +Mfg website for details.
