Back in May the new Mercedes G Class range was announced, included in the lineup with a 416 horsepower Mercedes G500 and now the company has confirmed production of the G500 will start soon.
The Mercedes G500 will be produced along with the existing versions of the Mercedes G Glass and it will be launching in Europe in September.
The G500 is equipped with a 4.0 litre petrol V8 engine that has twin turbos, the engine is based on the one that is used by the Mercedes AMG GT.
The new Mercedes G500 will come with 416 HP and 450lb ft of torque, it will also come with the company’s 7G-Tronice automatic gearbox. The 4×4 will be capable of traveling from 0 to 62MPH in just 6.5 seconds, pretty impressive considering the size of the vehicle. It will go on sale in September for €226,110 and will only be available in left hand drive.
