When it comes to road cars one of the coolest out there is the AMG GT R. Mercedes-AMG teamed with with Cigarette Racing to create the AMG GT R of the water by collaborating on a 50-foot Marauder AMG boat inspired by the AMG GT R. The boat uses lots of carbon fiber to shed 1,300 pounds compared to traditional build methods.
The deck, cockpit, and consoles were made using an advanced laminate analysis technique and are made of carbon fiber with a foam core. The hatch over the engine is completely made from carbon fiber. Power for the boat comes from a pair of Mercury Racing 1550/1350 QC4v engines and M8 stern drives. The engines deliver up to 3,100 hp.
I know I’m not the only one wishing the boat had AMG GT R engines inside. The boat comes with a Race Key Fob that can increase power to 1550 hp when running race fuel. The pleasure fob puts power at 1350hp with 91 octane fuel.
