Linbell have this week created a new Kickstarter campaign for their programmable wireless doorbell which requires no batteries and is capable of harvesting its own energy to help it operate completely wirelessly.
Watched a demonstration video below to learn more about the Linbell wireless doorbell which has already raised twice its required pledge goal with still 31 days left remaining on its campaign.
Wireless doorbells are quite common nowadays, but what makes Linbell stand out is the fact that it doesn’t need batteries or an external power supply. Linbell is easy to install, requires no wiring and requires no battery replacement. Linbell is programmed with 36 types of ring tones and adjustable on the volume. Pick the favorite one for you and family!
Linbell is entirely self-sufficient, converting the kinetic energy of the switch actuation into a voltage pulse, powering an RF transmitter and sending signals to the receiver. There are 2 transmitters, 1 receiver, and 1 Evaluation board in the kit.
The transmitter contains a energy harvester and a wireless PCB. When you press the transmitter, it will transmit wireless signal and the receiver will receive the signal and output digital “1” or RS232 digital message. The evaluation board contains a connection unit for RS232 to USB, one reset key, and one buzzer. You can see the communication message by a serial digital numbers on the computer.
