LiftUp is a new fitness monitoring system that has been designed for your home and uses resistance bands to track your strength, repetitions as well as analysing your progress using a companion smartphone application.
The new LiftUp fitness monitor and home gym system has this month launched via the Kickstarter crowdfunding website with the aim of raising $50,000, and is now available to back with pledges starting from just $99.
Within the promotional video below the developers of LiftUp explain more about its inspiration, features and functionality and reveal more about how it can be used to help progress your fitness regime to the next level.
..gyms are time-consuming and, for many, intimidating. Home gyms cost thousands and require space. Plus, even though we have wearables and smart fridges, strength training remains an untracked area. LiftUp is a portable home gym, based on resistance bands that wirelessly connects to a mobile app for guided workouts, real-time feedback, and automatic exercise tracking.
LiftUp’s technology consists of a pair of elegantly designed handles made ‘smart’ with Smart Adapters that connect to the handles. Motion and force sensors enable them to measure your workout, and a Bluetooth transmitter sends that data to your mobile device or computer.
– Beginners – With simple, effective workouts you can do at home or while traveling, LiftUp offers a convenient and affordable way to get into strength training.
– Active strength trainers – LiftUp doesn’t have to replace the gym, but it’s a great alternative for days you’re too busy, traveling, or just want to work your muscles differently.
– Personal trainers – LiftUp lets you follow along to what your clients are doing at home, providing more insight into how to help them. Real-time force measurement and rep counting make it a perfect device to have at the gym or the studio too.
