We previously heard a rumor that LG Pay would be launching at Mobile World Congress, although according to a recent report, LG has put its plans to launch the device on hold for now.
The new LG G5 is expected to launch at Mobile World Congress this month and they are looking for more media attention for the handset, which is why LG Pay has been delayed until quarter two.
“LG Electronics has delayed the official launch of LG Pay to the second quarter of this year to help the new LG flagship smartphone ― G5 ― receive more media attention,” an LG official said Friday.
There have been rumors that the service has been delayed due to poor support from credit card providers, although LG has denied this.
We would have thought that it would be a good idea to launch LG Pay along with the LG G5 smartphone.
