LG’s new flagship Android smartphone, the LG G5 is now available in the US, the handset is launching in the US with the major mobile carriers which include T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
The device is LG’s first modular smartphone and it features add on modules that perform different functions and fit into the battery compartment, at launch these include a camera module and a HiFi module.
The new LG G5 is equipped with a 5.3 inch Quad HD display that has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
Other specifications on the handset include 4GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage, this can be expanded thanks to a microSD card slot.
The device is equipped with high end cameras on the front and back, up front we have an 8 megapixel camera and on the back there is a 16 megapixel camera which can record 4K video.
The handset also comes with 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 2800 mAh user replaceable battery, it features the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android Marshmallow.
