A new style of GPS sports watch called the Leikr and created by former Nokia engineers, has started its journey over on the Kickstarter website looking for pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
The Leikr GPS Sports Watch is equipped with a 2 inch high resolution colour screen protected by Gorilla Glass, allowing you to view six streams of data at a glance. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The Leikr is fitted with an integrated custom GPS solution, and has been designed to provide users with a state of the art training watch. The development team behind the Leikr GPS Sports Watch explain:
“During our training we have tried different GPS watches and we have never been completely satisfied with them: too bulky, too difficult to operate, slow in getting the GPS signal, small screens and little to show: honestly quite boring stuff. We were looking for the perfect device to support our training and we could not find it. Last year we decided to take the chance and realize our long wanted dream of a training GPS watch that every athlete would desire.”
The Leikr GPS Sports Watch project is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think the Leikr watch is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help Leikr become a reality.
