Leap Motion the small gesture controller which has been created to allow you to control your PC via motion and hand gestures and can distinguish your individual fingers and track your movements down to a 1/100th of a millimeter.
Leap Motion has put together a promotional video showing how compatible it is with Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Leap Motion Windows 8 compatibility and see it in action.
The video demonstration reveals what their Leap Motion 3D gesture-control system functions on a Windows computer. Leap Motion explains:
“You’ll be able to browse the Web and interact with your computer just by moving your hands and fingers in the air. With Leap Motion technology and Windows, you can do everything that’s possible with multitouch inputs — without actually touching anything. This also means that existing applications in Windows 7 and 8 will respond to your natural hand and finger movements.”
“It’s what we’ve always envisioned for Leap Motion — to break down the barriers between people and technology. Here’s a video to show you how close we are. With Leap Motion technology, Windows OS is natural, easy, and fun to use. You’ll navigate your desktop, browse the web, flip through photos, and do everything you do everyday in extraordinary ways —all with the wave of a hand or lift of a finger.”
The Leap Motion system is gearing up to launch to the public in July 2013 and as more information and prices are released we will keep you up to date. Leap Motion for Mac systems is currently being developed.
