The iPhone controlled Kevo Lock was first unveiled back in May of this year and has been designed to be the next generation of door lock transforming your iPhone into a digital key.
The Kevo Lock is compatible with Apple iPhone 4s and 5 devices only and enables you to simply touch the lock of your house for access and has been created by Kwikset. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action thanks to a hands on by Engadget.
Using the Kevo Key smartphone app you can set time when certain people can access your house, and has been engineered for both maximum security and technology performance. The Kevo lock uses the latest Bluetooth 4.0 technology to connect to the lock in your door.
“With Kevo, all you need is your smartphone to unlock your door. You don’t even need to take your phone out of your pocket or purse; just touch your lock, it will recognize your phone and unlock the door. No more fumbling for your keys or memorizing a code… just touch the lock to open.”
The Kevo Lock will be available to pre-order later today for $219 with shipping taking place in September 2013.
