Japanese mobile carrier KDDI has announced a new version of the HTC J Butterfly, the handset is based on the HTC One M8, although it comes with slightly different specifications.
The HTC J Butterfly comes with a 5 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the handset features a quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and it features 2GB of RAM.
Other specifications on the HTC J Butterfly include 32GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot for expansion, the handset also comes with front and rear facing cameras.
On the front there is the same 5 megapixel camera as the HTC One M8, the rear dual ultrapixel cameras have been replaced by a single 13 megapixel camera.
Another change to the HTC J Butterfly over the original HTC One M8 is that the handset is now waterproof, and it also comes with the faster LTE-A.
