Jaguar has officially announced their latest sports car at the LA Auto Show, the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe. Along with a stunning design, this new sports coupe comes with a supercharged V8 engine that delivers a massive 550bhp.
This compares to 340bhp in the standard F-Type and 380bhp in the F-Type S. There is also an F-Type V8 S which offers 495bhp. The new F-Type R will accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds, showcasing its impressive performance capabilities.
“Creating a sports Coupe is the purest of design tasks and also the most challenging; get it right and aesthetically the result will be as dynamic as the car should be rewarding to drive. In F-TYPE Coupe, I believe we’ve got it right,” said Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar.
Performance and Engineering
The Jaguar F-Type R comes with a limited top speed of 186 miles per hour. It features a newly tweaked suspension system designed to enhance performance handling, ensuring that the car remains stable and responsive even at high speeds. The car’s chassis has been reinforced to provide additional rigidity, which contributes to its precise handling and agility on the road.
The F-Type R also includes an electronic active differential and torque vectoring by braking, which work together to optimize traction and cornering performance. These advanced systems ensure that power is distributed efficiently to the wheels, providing the driver with maximum control and confidence during spirited driving.

The exterior design of the F-Type R Coupe is both aggressive and elegant, with sleek lines and a muscular stance that hint at its performance potential.
