Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”) rounds out the cast as Henry Bowers, the town bully who torments the Losers’ Club.

Background and Anticipation
Stephen King’s novel IT was first published in 1986 and has since become one of his most beloved and feared works. The story delves deep into themes of childhood trauma, the power of memory, and the strength found in friendship. The novel’s complex narrative, which shifts between the characters’ childhood and adult years, has made it a challenging yet rewarding story to adapt.
The 2017 remake of IT is highly anticipated not only because of the novel’s popularity but also due to the success of the 1990 miniseries. Fans are eager to see how the new film will interpret the source material, especially with modern special effects and a new generation of actors. The teaser trailer has already generated significant buzz, with many praising the eerie atmosphere and Skarsgård’s chilling performance as Pennywise.
The film’s setting in the fictional town of Derry, Maine, is crucial to the story. Derry is a place where evil lurks beneath the surface, and the town’s dark history is intertwined with the malevolent presence of Pennywise. The Losers’ Club’s battle against this ancient evil is not just a fight for their lives but also a journey of self-discovery and courage.
