Apple is expected to make some major design changes with next years iPhone 8 and 8 Plus smartphones, we have previously heard rumors that the handsets will come with a glass back.
According to a recent report the displays on the new iPhone will be almost bezel free and the sizes of the two devices will also change.
The iPhone 7 has a 4.7 inch display and the iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5 inch display, according to recent reports the 8 will have a 5 inch display and the 8 Plus a 5.8 inch display.
The news comes from Barclays Research analysts Blayne Curtis, Christopher Hemmelgarn, Thomas O’Malley, and Jerry Zhang., who have received some details from Apple’s supply chain.
Larger and Bezel-less – iPhone 8 design didn’t sound 100% locked down but we believe the move is to a bezel-less design with screen sizes getting larger and curved edges in the original envelope. The iPhone 8 moves to 5″ (from 4.7″) and the Plus moves to 5.8″ (from 5.5″).
Previous rumors have also suggested that next years iPhones would also come with OLED displays and we are also expecting the resolution of the two handsets to get increased from the existing models.
Apple are expected to follow their normal product cycle with next years handsets to we are expecting to see the two devices in September of next year.
