Apple recently released their first beta of iOS 11.2.5 and now we have some speed test videos of iOS 11.2 vs iOS 11.2.5 Beta 1.
The iOS 11.2 vs iOS 11.2.5 Beta 1 speed tests are run on a number of older Apple devices to see if there are any speed improvements. These includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and iPhone 7, first up is Apple’s iPhone 5S.
As we can see from the iOS 11.2 vs iOS 11.2.5 Beta 1 video of the iPhone 5S, the new beta booted up faster than Apple’s current iOS 11.2. release, it also looks slightly faster in the apps, next up is the iPhone 6.
On the iPhone 6, the handset running the iOS 11.2 software booted up quicker than the one with the new betas, next up is the iPhone 6S.
The iOS 11.2 software on the iPhone 6S booted up faster than the beta, the two versions of iOS seem about the same in the apps. Next up is the iPhone 7.
The iPhone 7 running the iOS 11.2 software booted up quicker than the handset running the iOS 11.2.5 beta 1, they both seem about the same running the apps. Overall it doesn’t look like the new iOS 11.2.5 beta brings any major speed improvements to older Apple devices. This could of course change by the time the final version of iOS 11.2.5 is released.
