A new innovative one-handed keyboard has been created called Tap which fits onto your fingers and is equipped with an on-board sensors and battery that can provide up to 4 hours of use or 72 hours of standby.
The keyboard recognises 31 different tap gestures allowing you to type with just one hand. Check out the video below to learn more about this very unique keyboard, which is currently being beta tested and is expected to launch sometime in the coming months and definitely before the end of the year.
The Tap keyboard has been designed to detect both motion and movement which it then translates into input for any device that is connected to via Bluetooth. Connectivity can be used on your smartphone, tablet, smartwatch or even a PC if preferred. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet fort Tap, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
The Tap Strap has a series of embedded sensors which monitor mechanical information of the hand and fingers. This information is processed by an MCU in the Strap, which decodes the raw data into finger tap combinations and transmits the resulting characters or commands via a Bluetooth radio. Tap is compatible with all Bluetooth enabled devices which support the HID Keyboard Standard. This includes iOS and Android phones and tablets, Window and Mac computers, and most Smart TVs.
