iPhone users that only have a small amount of storage on their mobile iOS devices, may be interested in a new external iPhone storage system called Hubo. Which has launched this week via Kickstarter looking to raise $250,000 over the next 30 days.
Hubo has been created to easily enable you to backup your iPhone media to any flash drive, in a similar way the Apple Time Machine does with your desktop computer. Check out the video below to learn more about the Hubo automatic iOS backup solution.
Hubo’s developers explain a little more about the inspiration behind the external iPhone storage system and its features.
We love our iPhones, iPads and our MacBooks. We think they are great products, but we believe they need more freedom. And we know that you wouldn’t mind more storage, too! It is easy, convenient, secure and comes without any subscriptions. That’s why we made Hubo.
Our connected lives need more than 16GB of storage. Hubo allows you to backup your media to any flash drive. Like a time machine for iPhone. There are those moments when you hate to see “Cannot take Photo”. A blink and the moment is gone! You didn’t have time to clean up your phone’s memory, you were not connected to Wi-Fi to do that backup, or simply didn’t have available space on your iCloud account. We don’t judge, we just believe that there is also another solution.
We have been working for more than a year to develop Hubo. Hubo is an extension box that allows you to:
• save the photos and videos from your iPhone to any USB memory or external HDD;
• set-up automatic back-ups of your photos and videos;
• share memories with friends;
• stream videos wirelessly from any USB memory to your iPad or iPhone;
• stream content on a TV or other big screen.Hubo comes in two versions, one with and the other one without a 500GB internal hard disk. The hard disk version offers more portability and more security. But freedom is nothing without control. Hubo lets you be in total control of your iDevice.
