Huawei launched their Ascend Mate smartphone earlier this year, and now we have some details on the handsets replacement, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 will apparently feature the same 6.1 inch display as the existing model, the display will be full HD this time with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Other rumored specifications on the Ascend Mate 2 include a quad core 1.6Ghz processor and 2GB of RAM, the device will apparently come with 16GB of built in storage.
The processor on the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is said to be a HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor and it will come with Mali-450 graphics, plus Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a new version if Huawei’s Emotion UI.
As yet there are no details on what cameras the Ascend Mate 2 will feature, the current Ascend Mate comes with an 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash and full HD video recording in 1080p, plus a front facing 1 megapixel 720p capable camera for video chat.
We are waiting for Huawei to announce their new Huawei Ascend P6S, this is expected to be announced before the end of the year, and we could also see an announcement about the new Ascend Mate 2 at the same time.
