HTC

HTC is said to be working on a new smartwatch, which rumors suggest will see the light of the day in next month at IFA 2014 in Berlin.

According to a new leak, it’s not just one, but two wearables which will be launched by HTC at IFA 2014 event next week. One is an Android Wear smartwatch while the second one is a fitness tracker like Samsung’s Gear Fit.

UpLeaks also revealed some information about what we could expect from the two variables from the Taiwanese OEM. According to the leaker, there are two wearable devices: HTC CWZ and HTC WWY. The CWZ model appears to be a smartwatch powered by Google’s Android Wear, which will hit several global markets. Upleaks said it will launch in North America, EMEA, Japan, Brazil, Korea and Taiwan in September — which we’re guessing is IFA.

Second in the list is the HTC WWY, which is a fitness tracker featuring a 1.8-inch display with a resolution of 32 x 160, IP57 certification making it a water-resistant wearable and a 100 mAh battery. The alleged smartwatch is also expected to launch next month.

It seems IFA 2014 will be an action packed event, as many OEMs are going to release their revolutionary products. Samsung and LG have already announced their smartwatches, and it would be interesting to see what HTC has planned.
