We recently heard that the new HTC One M9+ would be launching in Europe some time in quarter three and now it looks like the handset will go on sale in July.
The news comes from a Dutch retailer who has listed the HTC One M9+ on their website with a launch date for the handset of the 14th of July.
Enhanced Specifications and Features
The HTC One M9+ originally launched in China, the handset comes with some upgraded specifications over the original One M9. The One M9+ comes with a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor, which provides a significant boost in performance compared to its predecessor. This powerful processor ensures that the device can handle multitasking, gaming, and other demanding applications with ease.
The device features a 5.2-inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, offering users a crisp and vibrant viewing experience. The higher resolution is particularly beneficial for media consumption, gaming, and browsing, providing more detail and clarity. Additionally, the 3GB of RAM ensures smooth performance and quick app switching.
For storage, the HTC One M9+ comes with 32GB built-in, which should be sufficient for most users. However, for those who require more storage, the device also supports expandable storage via a microSD card slot, allowing users to add up to 128GB of additional space.
Camera and Battery Life
One of the standout features of the HTC One M9+ is its camera setup. The device boasts a 4-megapixel HTC Ultrapixel camera on the front, which is designed to capture more light and provide better low-light performance for selfies and video calls. On the back, the handset features a 20-megapixel HTC Duo camera, which includes a secondary depth sensor. This setup allows for advanced photography features such as bokeh effects, 3D imaging, and improved focus speeds.
The HTC One M9+ runs on Android Lollipop, which offers a smooth and user-friendly interface. The device also includes HTC’s Sense UI, which adds additional customization options and features to enhance the user experience. The 2840 mAh battery provides ample power to get through a full day of use, even with heavy usage. Additionally, the device supports fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their phone when needed.
The SIM-free version of the new M9+ is listed at €760, it is not clear as yet on whether this is the official price of the handset. However, considering the advanced features and specifications, the price seems to be in line with other flagship devices on the market.
The HTC One M9+ offers a range of enhancements over the original One M9, making it a compelling option for those looking for a high-performance smartphone with advanced camera capabilities and a stunning display. With its upcoming launch in Europe, consumers will soon have the opportunity to experience all that the HTC One M9+ has to offer.
