HP has unveiled a couple of new additions to its all-in-one range of computers this week, in the form of the Envy Rove 20, which is available in either 18 or 27 inch sizes.
The Envy Rove 20 is fitted with a kick stand that allows the screen to be laid flat on your desktop, however don’t think you can use this as a tablet as it weighs in at 20lbs.
Advanced Touchscreen and Connectivity
The Envy Rove 20 is fitted with a 10-point capacitive touchscreen, which allows for a highly responsive and interactive user experience. This feature is particularly useful for creative professionals and gamers who require precise touch inputs. The touchscreen technology supports multi-touch gestures, making it easier to navigate through applications and perform tasks such as zooming, rotating, and swiping.
In terms of connectivity, the Envy Rove 20 is equipped with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, ensuring fast and reliable internet access. This is particularly beneficial for streaming high-definition content, online gaming, and video conferencing. Additionally, the device includes 3 x USB ports, allowing users to connect multiple peripherals such as external hard drives, printers, and other USB-enabled devices. This makes the Envy Rove 20 a versatile machine suitable for both home and office environments.
Storage and Performance
The Envy Rove 20 comes with a 1TB hybrid hard drive, which combines the large storage capacity of a traditional hard drive with the speed and performance of a solid-state drive (SSD). This hybrid storage solution ensures that users have ample space for their files, applications, and media, while also benefiting from faster boot times and quicker access to frequently used data.
The device is powered by an Intel Core processor, which provides robust performance for a wide range of tasks. Whether you’re editing photos, streaming videos, or running multiple applications simultaneously, the Envy Rove 20 is designed to handle it all with ease. The integrated Intel HD Graphics also ensures smooth and vibrant visuals, making it an excellent choice for multimedia consumption and light gaming.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but the Envy Rove 20 is expected to be launching with a price point of under $1,000. As always we will keep you updated.
Design and Usability
The Envy Rove 20 features a sleek and modern design that complements any workspace. Its kickstand allows for flexible positioning, enabling users to adjust the screen angle for optimal viewing comfort. When laid flat, the device can be used for collaborative projects, digital art, and interactive presentations, making it a versatile tool for both personal and professional use.
Despite its weight of 20lbs, the Envy Rove 20 is designed to be portable within a home or office setting. Its built-in battery allows for short periods of unplugged use, providing the flexibility to move the device from room to room without the need for constant recharging. This feature is particularly useful for households with multiple users or for office environments where mobility is a key requirement.
Software and Additional Features
The Envy Rove 20 comes pre-installed with Windows 10, offering a familiar and user-friendly interface. The operating system supports a wide range of applications and software, making it easy for users to customize their experience according to their needs. Additionally, the device includes a suite of HP software tools designed to enhance productivity and security.
One notable feature is the HP Connected Music app, which provides access to a vast library of music and allows users to create custom playlists. The device also includes HP Connected Photo, a tool for organizing and editing photos, making it easier to manage and share your digital memories.
