A new smart water bottle has launched over on Kickstarter this week called HidrateMe, that has been designed to synchronise with your smartphone to track your water intake.
During the day it will also glow to remind you to take a sip and stay hydrated. Watch the video to learn more about the smart bottle and how it can help you stay hydrated using the bottle’s companion smartphone application.
The HidrateMe Smart Water Bottle project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website and was looking to raise $35,000 in pledges but has already raised double this in just the first few days. Its developers explain :
“Drinking water is the simplest thing we can do to feel our best every day. But with daily distractions, millions of us don’t take care of ourselves the way we should. We simply forget. That’s why we built HidrateMe, a connected water bottle that tracks your water intake and makes sure that you’re hydrated all day long.
The HidrateMe bottle is a 24 oz. – 710 ml. reusable water bottle, made out of BPA free Tritan plastic. It’s dishwasher safe and comes with a leak proof cap. The sensor stick inside the bottle automatically tracks how much you drink throughout the day. It sends information to the Hidrate app on your phone and glows when its time to drink more water. The battery is easily replaceable and sold in most stores, and it lasts over a year, so you never need to recharge it.”
So if you think the HidrateMe bottle is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge from $39 and help the smart water bottle become a reality.
