Google has today rolled out a new update to Google Play Books for iOS which brings with it support for both rental books and textbooks, both of which were added this week to the Google Play Store.
Now using the latest Google Play Books for iOS users can rent or purchased publications via the website, and then access them on the iOS app, once the purchase has been added to the users personal book list.

Other features rolled out in the latest Google Play Books for iOS update include highlighting and note-taking for scanned pages, a sepia reading mode, together with the obligatory performance tweaks, stability tweaks and bug fixes.
The latest version of Google Play Books can now be downloaded from the iTunes App Store for free.
