If you have been waiting to get your hands on Google’s latest smartphone here in the UK, the wait is now over as the Google Nexus S has gone on sale in the UK today, something that we thought was happening a few days ago until the launch was delayed.
The Google Nexus S is now available in the UK from the Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy, it is available either on a monthly contract, with prices starting at £30 a month or you can purchase the Nexus S SIM free for £429.99.
The Google Nexus S is the first Android smartphone to come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and 235ppi, and a 1GHz Cortex A8 hummingbird processor.
The Nexus S features a front facing VGA camera for video chat and a rear 5 megapixel camera, there is also 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, A-GPS, and Near Field Communication (NFC), there is also a microUSB 2,.0 port, a 1500mAh Lithium Ion battery.
