Google has announced that you can now create your own street view maps using either your DSLR camera or Google’s own Photo Sphere technology.
You can then upload your images to Google’s Views service, this can then be used to connect your photos to maps, to create your own street view.

Well, starting today, it’s now possible for you to build your own Street View experiences to do just that. Using a new feature in our Views community, you can easily connect your photo spheres to create 360º virtual tours of the places you love, then share them with the world on Google Maps.
Once you have created your own Street View maps, using your photos, you can then share them with a website or any application using the Google Maps API.
