LabPixies the Israeli widget developer has been reportly purchased by Google for $25 million in Googles latest line of acquisitions of small startups companies.
LabPixies were one of the first companies to develop widgets for iGoogle which launched back in 2005. Together working with Google over past years to design and create widgets for Google Android.
Including numerous other widgets including games, news feeds, calendars and utilities designed for other mobile phone platforms, including the iPhone and web based site such as Facebook & MySpace.
Google are hoping LabPixies will help enhance its iGoogle development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You can read Google’s full announcment here.
