Google has this week started rolling out new imagery on to its Google Maps service, providing users with a more 3D view when exploring 13 U.S. cities and 2 international locations, via Google Maps.
The cities with updated 45 degree Google Maps imagery are: Adelaide, Australia; Cordoba, Argentina, and US cities Atlanta, GA; Canyon Lake, TX; Charleston, SC; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Lakeland, FL; Lubbock, TX; Orlando, FL; Port Charlotte, FL; Roanoke, TX; San Luis Obispo, CA; Smyrna, TN; Walker, LA
Try it for yourself now and click on these links to see the effects in action. You will need to allow Google to install the new plugin, but once its installed a rotation navigation tool will appear in the top left of the map allowing you to rotate the image to the new 45 degree view.
