It seems that the large 94Wh battery fitted in the latest Gigabyte Aero 15 gaming laptops which recently launched, could be causing a few problems, although this hasn’t as yet been confirmed by Gigabyte.
To pre-empt any safety issues that may arise Gigabyte is now recalling its Aero 15 gaming laptops which other than the recall issues, have received respectable reviews thanks to its 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor which is supported by NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6GB graphics together with DDR4 ram.
Other features include options for either NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M or GTX 970M graphics as well as providing 2 x M.2 SSD slots, 3 x USB 3.0 type-A port and 1 x USB 3.1 type-C port. with connections provided by HDMI 2.0 and mini DisplayPort. with connectivity provided by support for both 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.
Even if you haven’t received any notification from the retailer you purchased your Aero 15 gaming laptop from it might be worth contacting Gigabyte directly to see if the system you have needs to be replaced with a newer model.
