Getac has announced that it is now shipping a rugged Windows-powered tablet that it unveiled earlier this year. The tablet is called the F110. The tablet features an 11.6-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 1366 x 768. That display is bright with an 800-nit brightness rating making it sunlight readable. Getac offers two different CPU options for the tablet.
The base model uses an Intel Core i5-4300U running at 1.9GHz. The upgrade processor is an Intel Core i7-4600U running at 2.1 GHz. Graphics for the tablet is via Intel HD 4400 graphics. The F110 can be had with Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems. Storage options include 128GB or 256GB SSDs.
Both versions of the tablet come with 4GB of RAM and can be expanded to 8GB. The tablets also have a memory card slot for storage expansion. Options for the tablet include a HD webcam, 5MP rear camera, barcode reader, GPS, and 4G LTE modem. The tablets include 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The F110 tablet measures 12.3″ x 8.15″ x 0.96″ and weighs 3.08 pounds. The tablet is rugged to MIL-STD 810G and IP65 certified.
