Garmin has announced a new GPS device designed specifically for motorcyclists. The device is called the zumo 390LM and it is designed to be rugged and features a sunlight readable, glove friendly touchscreen. The GPS devices integrates Bluetooth wireless technology.
That technology allows motorcyclists to pair a Bluetooth equipped helmet or earpiece to the GPS device to make and receive phone calls and to hear spoken navigation directions. The GPS device offers street names and navigation commands via the Bluetooth headset leading riders keep their eyes on the road.
One interesting feature is that the GPS device also has the ability to monitor Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors. The sensor can be added to each tire allowing the tire pressure to be monitored on the GPS device display. The system supports up to four tires in any configuration. The GPS devices also designed to track maintenance with a special maintenance log feature. The 390LM is available right now for $699.99.
