Garmin has announced a new GPS enabled watch made for golfers. The watch is called the Approach S4 GPS golf watch and has a high-resolution touchscreen display that is sunlight readable. The watch gets power from a rechargeable lithium-ion battery good for up to 10 hours of use in golf mode.
Garmin also embeds a library of over 30,000 international golf courses into the watch and offers free lifetime updates. The lifetime updates means there’s no additional fees to keep the watch up-to-date. The data inside the watch offers precise distances to the front, middle, and back of the green.
The watch also offers layup, dogleg, shot distances along with a digital scorecard to track statistics. The watch is also designed to interface with compatible iPhone models offering notifications for e-mail, text messages, and more. The watch weighs 2.06 ounces and is water resistant to 10 m. Users can also save customizable yardage points to highlight features like water hazards or bunkers. The watch also has an integrated odometer and round timer. Garmin offers the watch in black or white colors with accessory bands in different colors sold separately. The watch will launch this fall $349.99.Filed Under: Gadgets News
