The company called G-Technology has unveiled a new storage solution aimed at the A/V production, photography, and creative professional market. The storage solution is called the G-Dock ev with Thunderbolt. The storage solution is a two-bay device that has interchangeable and ruggedized storage modules.
These modules are designed to be removable from the main storage array and used in the field to store digital content. The drive modules can be interchanged to achieve the desired storage capacity replaced as needed. The storage array supports several configurations including JBOD, RAID 1, and RAID 0.
The drive modules themselves are available in 500 GB or 1 TB capacity. Pricing for the individual modules is $149.95 and $199.95 respectively. The dual-they G-Dock ev itself comes with a pair of 1 TB modules and will be available for $749.95 in May.Filed Under: Hardware, Technology News
