Ford has pulled the covers off the 2020 F-series Super Duty trucks. The new trucks are designed to have the highest-ever conventional, gooseneck, and fifth-wheel towing and payload ratings. Exactly what the tow ratings are for the line we don’t know at this time.
What we do know is that the Super Duty line gets an all-new Ford-designed and built 7.3L V8 gas engine joining the standard 6.2 L V8 gas engine in the series. Ford also offers a third-gen 6.7L Power Stroke diesel V8 designed for more power and torque.
No matter the engine option, the trucks all get a new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift automatic transmission. Ford notes that the 7.3L V8 is expected to be the most powerful gas V8 in its class. The trucks also get an integrated 4G LTE modem and Pro Trailer Backup Assist knob. The trucks will land at dealers this fall.
