Ford has announced a new performance upgrade kit for the already potent 2015 Focus ST. The Performance kit will add 23 hp and 26 lb-ft of torque to the Focus St. That brings total power to 275hp and 296 lb-ft of torque. That is a significant bump in power and torque and the kit requires installation by an authorized Ford tech. Once installed the car keeps its base factory 3/36,000 mile warranty.
The kit does require the use of 93-octane fuel and most of the performance boost comes via an ECU calibration. Ford’s kit also keeps the Focus ST emissions legal in all 50 states. The kit includes multiple components and all the hardware needed for installation.
Included are a handheld ECU tuner, the tune, mountune induction kit, mountune high-flow intercooler, mountune mtune handset, and hardware. Options include a high-flow air filter. “The 2015 Focus ST MP275 upgrade is the latest addition to Ford Performance’s vast Focus and Fiesta performance catalog that gives enthusiasts the components they need to take their car to the next level,” said Adam Gair, product manager, Ford Performance. It’s unclear if the performance kit removes the factory extended power train warranty.
