Adobe has rolled out their latest Flash 10.3 beta release ready for testing and downloading and is now available for Mac, Linux & Windows. The new release brings with it new developer features and enhanced user privacy protection.
The main features that have been introduced into Flash Player 10.3 are : Media Measurement, Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Integration with browser privacy control for local storage, Native Control Panel, Auto-Update Notification for Mac OS.
The Acoustic Echo Cancellation technology has been included for use in group chat, in-game voice chat, and VoIP solutions based on Flash. Adobe has also integrated Flash’s privacy controls with that of the browser for both Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 8+. Allowing the user to make the choice of whether to permit local storage of Flash content. Support for Safari and Chrome will be made available in a future release.
The latest Flash Player 10.3 beta is available to download from the Adobe website.
Adobe are planning to release Flash Player 10.3 for mobile and the next version of AIR and AIR SDK for desktop and mobile soon.
