On the weekend, the developer behind the insanely popular (or irritatingly popular?) game Flappy Bird dropped a bombshell on its fans by tweeting that he’s going to take down the game from both the Google Play Store and iOS App store.
Now that the game has been pulled, it seems all the Flappy Bird fans are not happy at all, and are now threatening the developer. Yes, you’re reading it right, there are people who are threatening the developer for taking down the game for both iOS and Android.
It’s not a reason to worry for Android users as they can easily get the APK, but for iOS it can be. Anyway, CNBC’s social media editor Eli Langer compiled a list of some of the tweets threatening Dong Nguyen, the developer behind the game, for pulling it off. I don’t know if I should laugh or what, but this isn’t a way one should behave, it’s just a game.
It should hurt the developer more as he was already making over $50k a day from the game, which is an insane amount of money, and letting go of that much is not an easy task for anyone.
Flappy Bird is just a annoying yet addictive game with a simple mission, but it surprises me to see the reaction of the people over the game.
