If you want a restored Jaguar E-type that looks like brand new, who better to buy the fully restored car from than Jaguar itself? Jag has announced that the very first E-Type Reborn cars are going to be unveiled at the Techno-Classica Essen show in Germany this week. The very first car is a 1965 Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe 4.2.
There will be ten comprehensively restored versions of this car available for sale directly from the Coventry facility specifically made for restoring classic Jags. These cars start with a base vehicle that is sourced by Jaguar E-Type experts. The car is then resorted using Jag’s unique access to build records and original drawings.
Jaguar Classic Parts are used throughout to enhance the vehicle’s longevity and collectability. The car in the photos is the first to go through the E-Type Reborn process and is an Opalescent Gunmetal Grey Series 1 4.2 fixed had coupe. The car was originally exported to California back in 1965 and had 78,000 miles on it when restored in 1983. The car has numbers matching, body, engine, and gearbox all rebuilt by Jag. Each of the ten vehicles available will be priced from £285,000 depending on specifications.
