First Gigabyte BRIX Fanless PC

Following on from the initial unveiling of the new range of Gigabyte BRIX mini PCs earlier this month, Gigabyte has now made available the first of the new systems making available the GB-EKi3A-7100.

Equipped with an Intel 7th Generation Core i3-7100U Processor and fanless compact design which measures 0.76L: 180(W) x 117(D) x 36(H) mm in size and weighs 978g will soon be available to purchase from resellers.

Other specifications include :

• Supports 1 x COM port (RS232)*
• 2 x USB 3.1 (1 x USB Type-C™), 2 x USB 3.0
• HDMI 2.0 plus Mini DisplayPort 1.2 Outputs (Supports dual displays)
• 2 x SO-DIMM DDR4 Slots 2133 MHz, Max 32GB
• Supports 1 x M.2 SSD (2280) slot
• Intel® IEEE 802.11ac, Dual Band 1×1 Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.2 NGFF M.2 card
• Intel Gigabit LAN
• Headphone/Microphone Jack
• VESA mounting bracket (75 x 75mm + 100 x 100mm)

The new GIGABYTE BRIX IoT™ barebones raise the bar once again with the new Intel® 7th Gen Core™ processor family—delivering more responsive performance than ever before. This 7th Gen Core processor utilizes a power efficient microarchitecture, advanced process technology, and silicon optimizations to deliver faster performance than previous generation processors.

Intel® HD Graphics deliver 10% more performance than its predecessor. With the new media engine users are able to, watch, create, edit, share and game all with captivating visuals. This media engine offers HEVC 10-bit hardware acceleration which improves upon the 4K viewing and content creation performance significantly versus previous generation processors.
