I have been a long time users of the awesome Fantastical app both on my Mac and iOS mobile devices, and since its launch Fantastical has provided an indispensable menubar application.
This week the development team behind Fantastical have launched Fantastical 2 for Mac which has made the jump from the menu bar into a fully fledged Mac application without losing any of the convenience of the original menu bar application.
“Fantastical’s natural language engine is expressive and intelligent so you can write in your own style. Fantastical automatically recognizes the location of your event and can even invite people from Contacts to your event.
We’ve made multiple parser improvements including improved repeating event and reminder support, the ability to add alerts (like “Meeting 3pm alert 1 hour”), full time zone support, and many other time-saving improvements.
Fantastical 2 is the fastest and friendliest calendar app for OS X Yosemite. Just enter “Lunch with Elon in Palo Alto on Friday” and Fantastical 2 will schedule it! Or type in “todo buy milk at 5pm” and a reminder will alert you at 5PM! With OS X Dictation, you can even speak the details for your event or reminder and Fantastical 2 will handle the rest.”
Be aware that there are some mixed reviews at the current time with some users experiencing issues setting up access to their calendars correctly. For more information on the new Fantastical 2 for Mac app jump over to the Flexibits website for details via the link below.
