It is being reported today that some customers who have pre-ordered the very expensive Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition from GAME via their online ordering system have been experiencing problems with payments not being accepted.
The Eurogamer website is reporting all sorts of problems GAME is experiencing fulfilling the orders that have been placed for the Fallout 4 game that launched today and is available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Customers have also been expressing their concerns over the ordering shambles that has been experienced by many, with some taking to the GAME Facebook page to express their discontent. One disgruntled customer writes :
“What a load of crap. I was phoned earlier today, and I gave them my current card information (the same info they ALREADY HAVE!) and I received the order confirmation email… 30 minutes later my order was cancelled, AGAIN… I phoned my bank and they confirmed to me that GAME never even attempted to take the payment. Seriously, what in the flying feather are you playing at?”
GAME made the following statement earlier today via email to customers :
Evening, all. We’d like to give an update to those customers that have pre-ordered the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition online and experienced payment issues.
As we have previously communicated to those customers affected, we have been unable to process some orders for Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition due to their bank / PayPal not allowing payment to go through.
Since Friday, our customer service team has been working hard to contact those customers who had their payments rejected by their bank / PayPal. We have been taking updated details from those customers and re-ordering their Pip-Boy Edition, in time for release day. We have reached lots of customers since Friday and if you have replaced your order with us by phone today before 15:30 then your order was processed and dispatched today.
We’re really sorry if you have already contacted us about your order, and we have not been able to speak to you. There are a number of customers we have not yet been able to call and we have contacted them via email this evening.
We would ask that if you have not been able to replace your order by phone yet, don’t worry your order is still reserved and being held for you in our distribution centre. We want to assure you that we are working through your requests and will get to your order as soon as we possibly can to ensure you receive your Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition.
