Facebook has announced that users of its Android Facebook Messenger application will no longer require a Facebook account to signup to use the app. Instead the updated Facebook Messenger for Android now only requires users to sign up with their phone number and name.
Once users have registered to use the Facebook Messenger application for Android they can also benefit from the supported group conversations and photo sharing features added by Facebook within the app.
It’s still unclear whether Facebook will follow up their changes to the Facebook Messenger to iOS users in the near future, but if we hearing more news or information we will keep you updated as always.
In the meantime you can download the latest Facebook Messenger application for Android from the Google Play Store for free very shortly.
