Cyclists who would like to add a little extra power to their existing standard bicycle, may be interested in a new electric bike conversion kit called the EvoWheel. Launched via the Indiegogo crowdfunding website this week the development team behind EvoWheel are hoping to raise the $35,000 required to make the jump into production.
EvoWheel has been specially created to enable cyclists to transform their standard pushbike into electric bike in “30 seconds or less” say its developers based in Singapore. Once installed on the front wheel of your bike the EvoWheel is capable of providing a range of 54 miles and a top speed of 20 mph on a single charge. Providing 250w of power the EvoWheel weighs just 16lbs and is now available to back via Kickstarter with pledges for early bird backers available from $299 including worldwide shipping. Offering a saving of over 57 percent off the recommended retail price which will take effect once the Indiegogo campaign successfully completes.
