Evernote has today rolled out a new update to its Evernote for Mac application which brings with it a number of new features and enhancements to save time whilst using Evernote for Mac.
The latest update has added a new feature called Quick Note that allows to use Evernote for Mac directly from the mac menu bar on the desktop, making it easier and quicker to create a note.

“The new Quick Note feature lets you create a note at any time, no matter what you’re doing on your computer, by clicking the elephant in the menu bar at the top of your screen or using the keyboard shortcut Control-Command-N. If you don’t save to Evernote, then your content will stay in the Quick Note window waiting for you to add more stuff.”

The latest Evernote for Mac update is currently awaiting approval from Apple, but is available from the Evernote website if you just can’t wait to get your hands on the new features. Evernote explains hope toy do this:
“This update is available directly from Evernote. The App Store version is awaiting approval and should be available soon. If you’d prefer not to wait, you can switch to the direct download version by closing Evernote for Mac and the Menu Bar Helper, then dragging it to trash. After that, download and install Evernote from our site.”
