A new minimalist cassette tape player has been developed by the Lithuanian audiovisual and art organisation BrainMonk which takes the form of Elbow.
As you can see from the image below the minimalist design has removed everything other than the components required to capture audio from retro cassette tapes.
Currently in its concept stage of development, the elbow will hopefully soon be available to purchase by consumers but as yet no details on any pricing or availability of been announced by its creators.
Elbow strips away most mechanical parts of a traditional cassette player, resulting in a strikingly minimal and laconic design. In addition to boasting a slick, clean aesthetic, Elbow can be pinned to clothes and fabrics, turning your favorite tape into a fashionable accessory.
User interaction is made easy and intuitive thanks to bi-axial arm and control wheel, while allowing more playback control than ever before. ELBOW was conceived with burning passion by, and for, cassette tape lovers! Elbow has been designed with love and care by lithuanian audiovisual art organisation .
