EE’s 4G LTE network was the first 4G LTE network to launch in the UK, the other carriers will shortly be launching 4G services as well in the UK.
EE has now announced that their 4G LTE network has hit more than one million users in the UK, which has obviously given them a significant jump on their other carriers in the UK.
Olaf Swantee, CEO, EE, says: “The UK mobile sector saw a huge shift 10 months ago with the launch of 4G from EE. We set a new standard for UK mobile networks, and the way consumers and businesses are using their mobile devices in this country has been transformed.
“We have seen one of the fastest adoption rates in the world and I’m immensely proud to announce today that we have reached a significant milestone – one million 4G customers.
EE had originally set themselves a target date of December to reach the 1 million customers, so we are guessing that they are pretty happy with hitting the target four months early.
