Onyx International is already well known for creating E Ink devices and has created the Boox series of e-readers. The new E Ink Android phone is currently only in development at the moment and is more of a proof of concept than a finished production ready device.
The E Ink Android Smartphone created by Onyx runs Google’s Android operating system, which has been tweaked to run on a monochrome screen. Watch the video below to learn more about the E Ink Android phone project and see it in action.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the E Ink Android phone, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
